Sydney (she/her) is a proud Chicago gal, born and raised on the north side of the city. She was raised in a house filled with music, and she grew up adoring the old movie musicals she would watch with her family. The theatre bug finally bit her as a 3rd grader when she played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz- one of her favorite films. As a high schooler, she attended the Chicago Academy for the Arts as a part of their Musical Theatre program (which had been her dream since she was in 4th grade, and learned there was a performing arts high school in Chicago) . She went on to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre at Emerson College in Boston, MA. She also studied in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art's Musical Theatre Intensive.
Post grad, Sydney spent a season at Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, Florida. She appeared in their main stage productions as Fan & Catherine in "A Christmas Carol: The Tale of Ebenezer Scrooge" and as Jackie in "Hay Fever". She also appeared in the theatre's touring TYA shows as Juliet in "Romeo & Juliet", Sally in "The Cat in the Hat", and originated the role of Isabel in Eric Coble's adaptation of "Refugee".
Sydney now calls New York City home. Her most recent regional credits include Nina in "In the Heights" at Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Belle in "Disney's Beauty & the Beast" at New Bedford Festival Theatre, and the titular character in "Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley" at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, CT.
In her spare time, Sydney loves walking around museums, people watching in Central Park, styling outfits, filling her brain with random pop culture trivia, watching old movies, seeing as much theatre as she possibly can, and spending time with her husband, Dylan.
